OVERVIEW The intent of Poconoslive.com is to bring together all of the areas that make up the Pocono Region and promote all of the goods and services the Pocono’s has to offer. Whether you live here, are relocating or just visiting, our goal is to provide a single point on the Web designed for your convenience and dedicated to finding all services, goods or entertainment offered throughout the Region. OUTLINE The web site is designed to display all offerings through a mapping application that shows the location of all of the “search” results at one time so one can shop by location or interact with the site to plan their trip. For the base of information about the region, all Municipality, Churches and Schools will be contained in the site with all of the enhancements Poconoslive.com has to offer for “free”. All businesses that want to be included in the web site can be added to the site with basic information for “free”. Businesses that wish to enhance their presence on the site and become a “Sponsor” can subscribe to enhanced services for a fee. As a philosophy Poconoslive.com believes in equity for all subscribers therefore all subscribers will be equal in the enhanced fields, no one can pay more to display more. Fees for enhanced services are minimal and the same for all. There are presently six-plus legitimate web sites pointing at Poconoslive.com with more being added as they are approved and links are set. APPROACH The overall concept is to publish an organized source of Pocono Region information for the public to view on the Web, starting with community services. To that end our approach is to work closely with communities that may not have the time, expertise or means to provide these services on their own and bring them together in one application. The first point of contact is intended to be Community Leaders in the various communities in order to layout and discuss the proposed program and the benefits to the Community, with the hope of receiving their endorsement as we move forward. |
